A Giveaway, 4 leaf clover and a fitness journey

Friday is my favorite day.
I know I've said this before but it's true.
Even in the summer:)
I actually wrote this yesterday and then didn't get
a chance to post it:(
Story of my life!
First up my sweet friend Laura from A Grace-Filled Classroom is having a giveaway!!
She reached 200 TpT followers and is letting me help out in her celebration.
There are lots of great products to win and a $30 GC to TpT.
She also is willing to giveaway another TpT GC if she reaches 300 followers before the end of the giveaway.
Hurry over and enter!!
Someone has to win.
It might as well be YOU!!

My darling Natalee was looking around my nephew's yard and
found a 4-leaf clover.
We just had to snap a pic to remember it.
It was super cool!

We finally finished reading enough books for the library to enter into the
Summer Reading Contest.
They were so excited to have their orange backpacks and tickets to area
restaurants and fun places to visit.
We might have to take some day trips to use them all:)
All 3 of my babies were getting along here.
That never ever happens!!
Someone is always yelling at someone else or picking on someone.
It never ends!!
They were happy that their big sister was letting them help make
Oreo Truffle balls.
She was trying out different recipes to put in the State Fair in August.

This is me;)
I have been working out at home for about 8 weeks and
have just now started working at the local gym.
I am so excited to be on this fitness journey and to
be doing it with so many wonderful blogger & IG friends.
We keep each other motivated!
You are on Instagram, right?
If not you are missing out on so much.

Tips and Tools Week 6 & High/Low Linky

Another of my peep friends has come up wit another wonderful tip and tool for back to school.

This week my friend @Inspired Owl's Corner

has an amazing idea for the first day of school.
I will definitely be using her pack for my first day.
Why not party away the day and break the ice and make your kiddos more comfortable.
Just look at this great pack!!
Click on the picture to grab it!
It's only FREE for this week only!!!

Check back next week when another of my peeps will offer up a great tip and tool.

Now for my High/Low of the week.
I'm linking up with my friend Julie @A First For Everything for her
weekly linky.
Check her out!!

My high this week is that I got to get into my classroom and start setting up!!
I always have to wait until the last 2 weeks of summer to get into my classroom.
It is always the last to get cleaned.
This year it was one of the first and it was ready around the 4th.
I've gone in a couple of times and did a little bit of work.
Moving furniture and rearranging my room is something I love to do.
This year I have a completely different idea for how I want my classroom set up.
Hope it turns out as cute in real life as I see it in my mind.

My low was having to see this in my classroom.
Are you kidding me?
I wonder why my technology doesn't always work:/
Luckily I was able to set my computer up and my printer was fine too.
(I think/hope!!)
I truly am not a very techie person so I hate having to put the computers back together.

Words of Wisdom

I'm linking up with my friend Lisa from PAWSitively Teaching for her Words of Wisdom.
Everyone that has linked up has give such great advice you should check out what they have to say too.

Start each day with a clean positive slate.
This can be difficult when you have a child that seems to have it out for you.
It happens, I'm just keeping it real here.
Those are the children that need you the most.
They need you to be a constant and caring person every day.
You may be the only person that does care about them and they are with you more than anyone else in their lives at this time.
Don't let what happened the day before decide how you are going be today.
Each day is a new day try to keep that in mind.
And some days it will be hard but remember your not alone.

Be yourself!
Don't try to be someone else!
I can't tell you how hard a lesson this was for me when I started teaching.
I tried to teach just like all the other teachers around me.
I wasn't being myself.
And it wasn't working.
Find what works for you and go with it.
You can read and try and teach just like some of the best bloggers out there but you are not them.
Take what you learn from them and make it work for you.
You will be much happier.
Don't hide behind someone else.
 Be yourself and shine bright.
You have a life live it!
Don't let your classroom chain you down so you forget to live your life.
I know teachers that come to school at least an hour early and don't leave until 9-10 at night.
Not to mention working all weekend in their classroom too.
There will never be enough time in the day to get everything done.
I now refuse to stay any later than an hour after school.
I have a family and a life that needs me.
Everything will still be there the next day for me to tackle.
Set a time that you plan on leaving the classroom and then stick to it.
You want to enjoy your career not feel chained down by it.

Everyone that has linked up has given such great advice.
Check out what they have to say too.
Do you have any advice to add?
Please do!
I'd love to hear what you have to say too!!!

Tips and Tools for Back to School- Week 5

If you walk into any of the area stores where I live and probably where you live too, you will see Back to School items.
As much as I'm not ready to go back yet, I love this time of year.
But I also need  to keep an eye on how much money I spend.
So I really need to plan on a budget for my classroom.
(This would make the Hubby happy at my house.)
My wonderful bloggy friend Amy has that figured out for me.
Amy is the master mind behind the blog

Learning Lessons with Mrs. Labrasciano

Amy is sharing a FREE back to school guide to help with Tips for setting up a classroom on a budget and Photographs of the process.
I can't wait to use her ideas in my classroom.

Five for Friday- 4th of July

I know it's Summer Break but I still love Fridays.
My kiddos last year knew it was my favorite day and
each Friday they would announce it as that: Mrs. Byers it's you favorite day:)
I'm starting to miss those little guys.
Not that I'm ready to go back but I do love my job and I do miss them ( a little bit).

OK well on with the show...

My oldest baby graduated from High School!!
It makes me sad to know that she is growing up but
I'm very proud of the young lady she has become.
She is looking into going to college to be a Veterinary Tech.
Wish her luck!!

Our little garden is growing full speed ahead.
We even have melons.
Don't ask me what kind they are because I have no idea.
The Hubby just thought they might be good.
I think they might be cantaloupe, Maybe?!?!

This is how we have been spending out summer so far.
Pool day everyday it has been nice.
You would think these 2 would get along in the pool but alas
that is not the case.
They still fight all the time!

My son apparently got tired of holding my kindle and used the side of the couch to make a
handled display so he could still watch Netflix.
I tell ya this kid is a problem solver:)

OK so this isn't a picture of my Zucchini Bread but I did make some
and it was very good.
The recipe is linked from the pic so you can click on it and see  it.
It was very easy to make and didn't take long either.
I just had to find something to do with all the zucchinis from our garden.
click pic to go to recipe

My store will be on sale all weekend long to celebrate the 4th.
Happy shopping:)

Hope everyone has a very Happy 4th of July!!
