What Works? Teacher Tips and Giveaway

Being a successful teacher involves little tricks of the trade we pick up from other teachers.  I for one am always on the look out for new and easy ways to make my teaching life easier.  Work smarter not harder!  I'm so excited to be linking up with my 2 sweet friends to share some tips that work for me in my classroom and hopefully you will be able to use them too.
My first graders have trouble with learning high frequency words from our reading stories.  To help them learn these easier I place them around our door.  Every time we leave our room we read our words.  I also change up the way we read them each time too.

I use to be worried my kiddos would use the last copy of a recording sheet for our centers.  I now write copy or put a big X on my sheet so they know not to use that one.  Also the yellow highlighter doesn't show up when I copy it.

Now for our awesome giveaway!  School is coming to an end for some us and this giveaway has some pretty great items to help end out the year or start you thinking about next year.  Yes I'm one of those teachers that is already thinking and planning next year.  The more entries you have on the rafflecopter the more chances you have to win.  Check out these prize bundles!!!

May Pinterest Pick 3

I'm linking up with two of my bloggy buddies for May Pick 3 Pinterest Linky.
I love checking out what everyone else have pinned on Pinterest.
This summer I'm hoping to get my Pinterest game organized and ready but until then I'm going to browse what everyone else's creative ideas:)

Here are my top 3 Pinterest picks.

This would be a cute and easy bulletin board to have the kids create for the end of the year.  Get them prepared for Summer Reading:)

Another cute and easy idea for end of the year.  I'm for sure doing this but of course my tag will say second grade.

I love this little lightening bug!  Or do you call them fireflies?  I'm thinking these would be really cute with a camping theme writing idea.

I'd love to connect with you on Pinterest!  My Pinterest feed is below:)
