I'm Still Alive & Freebie

Hi Bloggyland Friends!
WOW! It has been a long few weeks and I have been really busy relaxing with the family.
I'm sure you all have been doing the same things.
I had to clean house for 2 days straight to get it back in order after Christmas.
The sad thing is that if you came to my house right now you would never know that I actually cleaned it.
My kitchen table has stuff all over it and has been that way for so long I can't remember.
Anyway I hope to fix that sometime in the future.

I was a little inspired the other day and I made up some digital papers.
I am completely in love with the first 2 sets.
They are perfect for those Valentine centers I have in mind.
Now if I will just get them done;)
Click on the pictures to check them out in my TpT store.

Teachers Inspire Teachers {Dec 8}

WOW what a week or 2 actually.
I was so not with it and realized that I hadn't wrote my Teachers Inspire Teachers post last week.
So I went with the flow and linked up with Farley for her Currently linky party.
But now I'm back with a new teacher to inspire you.
I know she inspires me!
Who is this amazing teacher............................................................................ Rachelle Smith from What the Teacher Wants.
This wonderful teacher is saving my biscuits for the next 2 weeks with her amazing Holidays Around the World.  I am using her pack along with Sarah Cooley's pack for our scrapbook.  This makes such a great keepsake for the kids and parents once we are finished and the kids never forget this adventure.
There is still time to grab that awesome pack!!
Here are a few pictures of our scrapbook.

This book with be our Religion, Reading {along with special stories}and Social Studies for the next 2 weeks.
I know my kiddos are going to be amazed by all the wonderful adventures they will get out of
this unit.  Gingerbread houses and a nativity are just a few activities we will make during our travels.
Check back to see all our fun-filled adventures!!

Five for Friday {Dec 6}

My random week;)

We wrote letters to Santa telling him why we would be a good host class for an elf.
Most of my kids have an elf on the shelf at home and I know they would love one at school too.
I got this idea from Stephanie Stewart @ Falling Into First.
I finished prepping our Christmas Around the World Scrapbook.
I used a combination of my two most favorite packs.
I used Sarah Cooley's and Rachelle Smith's.
My Kiddos are going to love the next 2 weeks of school.

We had a snow day today!!
This weekend is looking like more snow too.
I just hope we don't get ice:(
After a hard day of playing in the snow we came in and watched some Christmas movies.
{We could only stand being outside for about 15 min.  OK I could only stand being out there that long.  It was COLD!!}

The Phonics page we had earlier this week had us make the word fig.
The kids kept debating on if it was a real or fake word.
I tried telling them about fig newton cookies and they hadn't heard of them so I brought some in and we had an impromptu lesson on figs and combined a little math too;)

Currently December Style

This should be a Teachers Inspire Teachers post but I let time get away from me and didn't have it ready.
But that's OK it will be back next Sunday.
I was a little bit bummed until I realized that it was time for Farley's December Currently.
So without further adieu here is my currently.

Right now my 2 littlest kiddos are playing in the living room.  One is on a tablet and the other is playing with all the Christmas decorations we just put up.

I am loving our real Christmas tree.  We haven't had one in a very long time.  Our fake tree has seen better days and we were going to get another one.  But we decided to give a real tree a try again this year.  I'm really glad we did so far.

I am thinking we must be crazy to have brought another puppy into our house.  Our next door neighbor brought over a puppy yesterday and we ended up keeping it.  This brings our total of dogs to 6!!!!!!!
Walker has a sad story.  He was left in a box along with his mother and 5 other brothers and sisters behind a Save-a-lot store.  We just couldn't pass up that adorable face.  He is about 8 weeks old and is very healthy.  The other dogs don't really care for him but they aren't being mean, just marking their territory:/

I really want and need a new printer for home.  Mine kicked the bucket this week.  It wasn't even a year old!!  I really liked it too when it was working.  It was a Kodak.  Anyone else have trouble with that brand?  I have a hp at school and I love it.  It just didn't do everything that the other one did.

So now that my printer at home doesn't work I really need ink for my school printer.  I'm out and I haven't even printed out centers for this week.  I guess I'll have to improvise tomorrow.

One of my favorite traditions is going to the mall and having a new family ornament made each year.  I have to confess that there are a few years that we didn't make it to the mall to get it and I made the promise last year that I would make sure we got them from now on.  We still need to get this year's ornament.
This is last year's ornament.

On a final note I'm sure you all know by now that TpT is having a Cyber sale Monday and Tuesday.  I just want to remind you that my little store will joining in on that sale too.  Happy shopping!!
